RSI
Relative Strength IndexMomentumMeasures recent price strength on a 0 to 100 scale.

Moving Average Convergence DivergenceMomentumCompares fast and slow exponential moving averages to measure trend momentum.

Stochastic

Common use: Overbought/oversold momentum and %K/%D crosses.

StochRSI
Stochastic RSIMomentumApplies the stochastic formula to RSI values instead of price.
Common use: More sensitive overbought/oversold readings than RSI.

Williams %R
MomentumShows where the close sits relative to the recent high-low range.
Common use: Overbought near 0 and oversold near -100.

CCI
Commodity Channel IndexMomentumMeasures how far typical price is from its moving average.
Common use: Trend strength, mean reversion, and extreme readings.

Rate of ChangeMomentumPercentage price change over a lookback period.
Common use: Simple momentum ranking and gain/loss screens.

MFI
Money Flow IndexMomentumA volume-weighted oscillator similar to RSI.
Common use: Oversold/overbought conditions when reliable volume exists.

Awesome OscillatorMomentumCompares short and long simple averages of median price.
Common use: Momentum shifts around the zero line.

RS Rating
Relative Strength Rating (IBD / O'Neil)MomentumRanks each symbol's quarter-weighted price performance against every other symbol in the scan, on a 1 to 99 scale.
Common use: Finding market leaders — a reading of 90 means the symbol outperformed 90% of the scanned universe.

SMA / EMA
Simple and Exponential Moving AveragesTrendSmooth price over a chosen period. EMA responds faster than SMA.
Common use: Trend filters, support/resistance, and crossovers.

WMA / HMA / VWMA
TrendWeighted moving-average variants. VWMA weights by volume.
Common use: Smoother or volume-aware trend filters.

KAMA / ALMA / T3
TrendAdaptive or heavily smoothed moving averages.
Common use: Noise reduction and smoother trend confirmation.

ADX
Average Directional IndexTrendMeasures trend strength, not trend direction.
Common use: Strong trend above 25, range-bound below 20.

Ichimoku
Ichimoku CloudTrendA multi-line trend and support/resistance system.
Common use: Price above/below cloud, Tenkan/Kijun crosses, cloud trend.

Supertrend
TrendATR-based trend line that flips between bullish and bearish states.
Common use: Trend-following direction filters.

Parabolic SAR
TrendA trailing stop-and-reversal indicator that follows trend direction.
Common use: Trend flips and trailing stop logic.

Aroon
TrendTracks how recently price made a high or low.
Common use: Identifying emerging uptrends or downtrends.

Weinstein Stage
Stage Analysis (1 to 4)TrendClassifies each symbol into one of four stages — basing (1), advancing (2), topping (3), or declining (4) — from the 200-period moving average and its slope.
Common use: Buying Stage 2 uptrends and avoiding Stage 4 declines.

Bollinger Bands
VolatilityBands around a moving average using standard deviation.
Common use: Squeezes, band breaks, mean reversion, and volatility expansion.

ATR / NATR
Average True Range / Normalized ATRVolatilityMeasures average candle range. NATR normalizes ATR by price.
Common use: Volatility ranking, stop distance, and range expansion.

ADR%
Average Daily Range (percent of price)VolatilityThe average high-to-low range of recent bars, expressed as a percent of price.
Common use: Ranking symbols by how much they move each day — favored by intraday and momentum traders.

Keltner / Donchian Channels
VolatilityChannel indicators built from ATR or recent highs/lows.
Common use: Breakout and squeeze-style scans.

Historical / Realized Volatility
VolatilityAnnualized volatility calculated from returns.
Common use: Ranking assets by statistical volatility.

Volatility Percentile / Ratio
VolatilityRanks current volatility against history or compares short-term volatility to long-term volatility.
Common use: Finding unusually quiet or unusually active symbols.

OBV
On-Balance VolumeVolumeCumulative volume that adds on up closes and subtracts on down closes.
Common use: Accumulation/distribution and volume divergence.

VWAP / VWMA
VolumeVolume-weighted price measures.
Common use: Price relative to volume-weighted average levels.

CMF / ADOSC / KVO
VolumeVolume-flow indicators that estimate buying and selling pressure.
Common use: Confirming breakouts and spotting divergence.

Pivot Points
Support / ResistanceClassic floor-trader levels derived from prior high, low, and close.
Common use: Price near support/resistance levels.

Fibonacci Levels
Support / ResistanceRetracement levels between a lookback high and low.
Common use: Price near common retracement zones.

Fractals / SFP / FVG
Support / ResistanceSwing highs/lows, swing failure patterns, and fair value gaps.
Common use: Liquidity sweeps, failed breakouts, and imbalance screens.

Volatility Contraction Pattern (Minervini)Chart PatternsA series of progressively tighter pullbacks near the highs as supply dries up before a breakout.
Common use: Spotting coiled leaders setting up for a breakout.

Chart PatternsA rounded base (the cup) followed by a short, shallow pullback (the handle) — a classic O'Neil breakout base.

High Tight Flag
Chart PatternsAn explosive move (the pole) followed by a shallow, tight consolidation (the flag) near the highs.
Common use: Identifying the strongest momentum names after a powerful run.

Three Weeks Tight
Chart PatternsSeveral consecutive periods closing within a tight range, often on contracting volume.
Common use: A low-risk continuation setup inside an existing uptrend.

First Pullback
Chart PatternsThe first retracement to a rising moving average after a fresh trend begins.
Common use: Entering an early-stage trend on its first controlled pullback.

NR7 / Inside Day
Narrowest Range in 7 / Inside BarChart PatternsA bar with the narrowest range of the last seven, plus inside bars fully contained by the prior bar — both signs of compression.
Common use: Anticipating a volatility expansion or breakout.

Price Math
Price MathDirect arithmetic on OHLC data: returns, range, body, gaps, wicks, distance from highs/lows.
Common use: Plain-English price-action scans without a named indicator.

Z-Score / Statistics
StatisticsStatistical measures including z-score, standard deviation, variance, skew, kurtosis, entropy, and MAD.
Common use: Finding abnormal moves or distribution changes.

Divergence
CompositeCompares price swings against an indicator to find disagreement.
Common use: Regular bullish or bearish divergence on RSI, MACD, stochastic, CCI, MFI, AO, KDJ, OBV, or CMF.
