FAQ

Common questions about data, billing, limitations, and result interpretation.

Is Sortefi financial advice?

No. Sortefi is a screening and research workflow tool. Results are not buy or sell recommendations.

Why did my query return no symbols?

The filter may be too strict, the selected market may not have the requested data, or the timeframe may not contain enough candles for that condition. Loosening one threshold or widening the scan window usually helps.

Why did Sortefi ask me a clarifying question instead of running my query?

When a query is genuinely ambiguous — for example an event scan like "breakout with volume confirmation" with no period stated — Sortefi asks for the missing detail instead of guessing and charging you for a result you didn't want. Answer the question and the query runs with your answer included.

Why is a market marked as under maintenance?

A market is temporarily disabled when its data provider has an outage and the data would be stale. Queries against it are refused without charge until the data is fresh again.

Can I use fundamentals and technical indicators together?

Yes. For supported markets, Sortefi can first narrow by fundamentals and then apply technical indicators to the remaining symbols.

Why are forex volume queries blocked?

Forex has no centralized exchange volume. Sortefi blocks volume-dependent forex scans to avoid returning misleading results.

Can I scan all markets at once?

Yes, but broad multi-market scans are best for universal technical conditions. Market-specific data such as funding, open interest, or fundamentals will only apply where available.

How much does a query cost?

Most queries are around $0.15. The final charge can vary with prompt complexity, market scope, and AI usage.

Does my balance expire?

No. Wallet balance remains available until you use it.

Can I export results?

Yes. You can copy results or download a TradingView-compatible .txt watchlist.
