Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Sortefi, a product of Sortefi LLP ("Sortefi", "we", "us"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our service. By using Sortefi you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the service:

Account information — your email address and basic profile details, provided through our authentication provider when you sign up or log in (including via Google sign-in).
Query history — the prompts you submit, the market selected, and the resulting symbol lists, so you can review and re-run past queries.
Usage & billing records — credits purchased and consumed, query counts, and transaction identifiers needed for billing and support.
Technical data — limited analytics (e.g. page views, approximate region) and standard server logs used to keep the service secure and reliable.

We do not collect or store your payment card details. Card data is handled entirely by our payment processor (see §3).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: (a) provide, maintain, and improve the service; (b) authenticate your account and keep it secure; (c) process payments and manage your credit balance; (d) display your query history; (e) respond to support requests; and (f) detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

Sortefi relies on trusted third-party processors to deliver the service. Each processes data only as needed for its function:

Supabase — authentication, account records, and billing/usage data storage.
Razorpay — secure payment processing. Your payment details are provided directly to Razorpay and are subject to their privacy policy.
Anthropic — the AI model that interprets your prompts and generates filter logic. Prompts are sent for processing and are not used to train models.
Vercel — application hosting and privacy-friendly, aggregate usage analytics.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use cookies and browser local storage only for essential purposes — keeping you signed in, remembering your selected market and preferences, and enabling core app functionality. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information, query history, and billing records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and comply with legal, accounting, and tax obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time (see §7).

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to request a copy of the information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@sortefi.com.

8. Children's Privacy

Sortefi is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of Sortefi after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with it are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
